Chris Everard was born and grew up in Norfolk.
He is a professional photographer based in London and North Norfolk, working mainly in the fields of lifestyle and interiors. His passion for the North Norfolk coast has inspired him to embark on a series of expressive monochrome landscapes that capture the drama and tranquillity of the local land and sea.
The North Norfolk coastline has a unique atmosphere with the intricate saltmarshes at Morston and Stiffkey, Cley’s far reaching reedbeds protected from the sea by the fragile shingle barrier to the beaches at Wells and Holkham that seem never ending. The photographs capture the changing moods of all these areas and draw on the seasonal elements to create images that are evocative of the coastal region. All work is photographed conventionally using a wide panoramic cameras, 7 x 8” and 10 x 8” large format cameras.
Prints are all hand printed in the darkroom.
